Rare Move: Ferrari to Sell Less to Boost Exclusivity

A rare move ! Certainly not the kind one would expect from an Automobile company. Its the mighty Ferrari. They have decided to sell fewer cars to maintain exclusivity.

In a recent statement Ferrari said that it will limit sales of its high-performance street cars this year to below 7,000 units to protect the brand's aura of exclusivity.

Chairman Luca Montezemolo says that means sales will decline overall by "more than 1 or 2 per cent" from last year's sales of 7,318 cars. Sales in the first four months have risen 4 percent over last year.

Montezemolo told reporters today that "the exclusivity of Ferrari is fundamental for the value of our products. We made the decision to make fewer cars because otherwise we risk injecting too many cars on the market."

Montezemolo said Ferrari's engine business, which supplies motors to Maserati," will help keep revenues on track. The brands are owned by Fiat SpA.

Concept Camera: iPicture With iLens

What is the next Innovative Product that APPLE Inc may possibly come up! The answer may be an iLens - a mirror less interchangeable lens camera for photographers.

 Concept explanation:
Dual lens system on the iLens provides you with an option to click with the 50mm prime lens on the main device. Magnetically attachable zoom and telephoto lens give you more dynamic photography options. The magnetically attachable lens sits on top of the primary device lens, which is the 50mm prime lens. The lens and the device communicate to each other via NFC Standard. Gesture sensitive lens casing provide with lens zoom and focus manipulation. Also, an integrated ring type flash unit around the lens casing avoids any shadow cast by the lens. This makes the iLens a powerful camera with a full size image sensor that is genuinely pocket-able. The cubical design for the lens casing, instead of the traditional and a much familiar cylindrical design, was taken into consideration for ease of storage. As DSLR lens do roll away, if handled carelessly. Unlike a DSLR, the image sensor is sealed behind the 50mm prime lens, so there is no chance of sensor dust damage during lens changes. A scratch resistant UV filter tops the lens, so there is no need for a lens cap.

Microsoft Windows Blue

Putting an end to long standing trend of releasing a major OS upgrade every 3 years, Microsoft is set to release "Windows Blue" later this year.

The update aims to make Windows 8 more compatible with smaller screens, thereby capture the tablet and phablet market space. The mobility scenario today is dependent on size of the device, display, battery life and performance. Windows Blue will be primarily look to optimize windows 8 for the mobile platforms. This disruptive OS Upgrade trend shows that Microsoft wants to aggressively compete with the growing market share of Google Android powered devices.

Further updates regarding Windows Blue are expected in a few weeks time.

The Amazing New SmartPhone - Lenovo K900 with Intel Atom Processor

Its been a while since the announcement of K900 by Lenovo at CES in January.

The K900, a high-end, big-screen smartphone aimed at the Chinese and Indian market where the Mobile Giants Samsung and Apple have initiated a price war in the high end Smart Phone market.

Needless to say, K900 is a dual-core, Intel-powered beast. At 5.5 inches diagonally, the K900 dwarfs even the Galaxy Note 2, and the latest Galaxy IV and like other devices in this space. The overall design is attractive enough, with a metallic chassis and squared-off edges. On the front is a 1080p display, which looks about as sharp and clear as you'd expect. On the inside, Intel's Clovertrail+ -- a dual-core, HyperThreaded CPU -- provides enough horsepower to keep things running smoothly, and around the back is a 13MP Sony Exmor R camera with f/1.8 aperture. K900 is also incredibly sleek for the specifications if offers.

The K900 is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, along with Lenovo's own software layer software, and although it's great to see 4.2 finally rolling out to devices, the manufacturer's UI customizations leave something to be desired.

Lenovo is a relative newcomer to the smartphone market, and like many in the early days, they're doing better in terms of hardware than they are software. So the likes of Samsung, Apple, Blackberry, Nokia must definitely keep an eye on the "Strong Chinese Contender"!

The phone is expected to be available in the market from May 10th, 2013.

The Beginning!!

For long, I've been thinking to start my own blog. But then, it was only an adrenaline rush whenever I think of it. It is soon put to rest owing to the hectic schedules of Student life, Corporate Life and then back to Student life. At last, I've decided to end this long wait of starting the blog before my adrenaline fades away!

A lot of things going about in my mind as to what this blog must be dedicated to! Both halves of my brain don't seem to agree upon anything in specific. My right side says "Be Creative" while my left side says "Be logical". As usual, there a tussle between what is logical and what is creative. So, I think I will decide on this as we move ahead.

It is said that many great things are born from confusion and failed experienments. Hope this blog also turn out to be one among them!

Last but not the least ---- Your Ideas are highly appreciated :)
